  • External Applicants: Individuals aged 15 – 25 who are not University of Regina students are welcome to apply.

Director of Operations and Logistics

Positions Available: 1

Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week for training; hours may vary depending on the process of the training. Full participation at the conference from January 29th to February 1st, 2025.

Reports to: Secretary-General, and Deputy Secretary-General.

Responsibilities During/After the Conference:

  • Develop logistical plans for the conference in collaboration with the Crisis Manager and Committee Director.
  • Secure necessary equipment and supplies for the conference.
  • Implement a communication plan for logistical updates to staff and delegates.

Expectations:

  • Oversee all logistical aspects during the conference.
  • Address any logistical issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with venue staff and service providers.
  • Assist with post-conference tasks like equipment return and venue cleanup.
Director of General Assemblies

Positions Available: 1

Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week for training; hours may vary depending on the process of the training. Full participation at the conference from January 29th to February 1st, 2025.

Reports to: Deputy Secretary-General, Under-secretary General of Committees, and Co-Directors of Volunteer Affairs.

Responsibilities During/After the Conference:

  • Develop agendas and prepare background materials with the Chairs and Dias of General Assemblies.
  • Recruit and train staff for General Assemblies.
  • Oversee the logistical setup of General Assembly rooms.

Expectations:

  • Manage the overall operation of General Assemblies.
  • Ensure adherence to URMUN2025 Rules of Procedure.
  • Address procedural issues during General Assemblies.
  • Prepare post-conference reports for General Assemblies.
Chair: General Assembly

Positions Available: 4

Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week for training; hours may vary depending on the process of the training. Full participation at the conference from January 29th to February 1st, 2025.

Reports to: Director of General Assemblies, Deputy Secretary-General, Under-secretary General of Committees, and Co-Directors of Volunteer Affairs.

Responsibilities During/After the Conference:

  • Lead the academic vision of assigned General Assembly.
  • Prepare background materials and agendas.

Expectations:

  • Preside over assigned General Assembly, ensuring productive debate.
  • Enforce the Rules of Procedure and maintain order.
  • Facilitate discussion and summarize key points.
  • Prepare a report summarizing the General Assembly.
Dias: General Assembly

Positions Available: 4

Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week for training; hours may vary depending on the process of the training. Full participation at the conference from January 29th to February 1st, 2025.

Reports to: Chair: General Assembly, Director of General Assemblies, Deputy Secretary-General, Under-secretary General of Committees, and Co-Directors of Volunteer Affairs.

Responsibilities During/After the Conference:

  • Assist the Chair in running the General Assembly.
  • Provide logistical and procedural support.

Expectations:

  • Prepare notes and documentation during the General Assembly.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the General Assembly.
Director of Crisis Committee

Positions Available: 1

Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week for training; hours may vary depending on the process of the training. Full participation at the conference from January 29th to February 1st, 2025.

Reports to: Deputy Secretary-General, Under-secretary General of Committees, and Co-Directors of Volunteer Affairs.

Responsibilities During/After the Conference:

  • Develop the crisis scenario and background materials with the Crisis Manager.
  • Recruit and train staff for the Crisis Committee.
  • Oversee the logistical setup of the Crisis Committee room.

Expectations:

  • Manage the overall operation of the Crisis Committee.
  • Ensure adherence to URMUN2025 Rules of Procedure.

Backroom: Crisis Committee

Time Commitment: Minimum of 2 hours per week for training; hours may vary depending on the process of the training. Full participation at the conference from January 29th to February 1st, 2025.

Reports to: Chair: Crisis Committee, Director of Crisis Committee, Deputy Secretary-General, Under-secretary General of Committees, and Co-Directors of Volunteer Affairs.

  • Inject information and challenges into the simulation.
  • Prepare background information for delegates.

Expectations:

Director of Specialized Agencies

  • Recruit and train staff for Specialized Agencies.
  • Oversee logistical setup of Specialized Agencies rooms.

  • Address procedural issues and prepare post-conference reports.
Chair: Specialized Agencies
